Witton Castle, Co. Durham

Organised by Porsche North East and BMWCC North East, a few of Zroadster,org members joined the meeting. Not really a show more a get together of around 60 Porsche owners and 30 BMWs in the grounds of Witton Castle, near Bishop Auckland, which dates back to the 15th century.

Lined up with @Mnbrennan (red Z3M Coupe) and @JackJabba (Mora)

Three almost in a line Two other Z3s turned up and we invited them to join us in a group photo but they left before we got the camera out.

Lloyds BMW from Newcastle bought an i3 and an i8. IMHO the i8 looks spectacular but when it drove off from the meeting the sound was .........totally underwhelming and...... well silent.

I hadn't intended to go to this one as my mate had booked Newcastle Car Show. We got there and there were Vauxhall Novas, Minis and some Escorts - not our thing. There were around 30 cars in total, we managed to get a groupon deal for both of us in for £12. They were charging £15 each on the door -I would have asked for my money back. We spent about 15 minutes there! I remembered this coming up in my emails so we decided to shoot down, taking about an hour!! Some good country roads though.

Compared to that, the meet at Witton Castle was fred and much more interesting - a number of zeds, other beemers (including the Evolve M3 project car) and a load of Porsches which looked nice (keeping mine though!!!)

@roadvoyager1 was pleasant company as usual and good to meet @JackJabba - those seats are epic!!

I just need my mate to get the Z bug now....
