wipers dont return to park position

Do they stop straight away when you switch them off?
 
yes . and they wipe all the way to the bottom of the screen on. but they park in the inter position when off.
 
when on the intermitent setting i think the wipers dont rest at the bottom they stick up a bit . (on some cars) and mine stay sticking up when off . like on your profile pic .
 
If they go to the bottom of the screen and then return upwards an inch or so before stopping , that says to me the link on the wiper motor spindle isn't located in the correct position.

there has been a problem with them in the past by the looks of it cuz they have rubbed on the under side of the bonnet .
I have no gap under the passenger wiper spindle , and 5mm under the drivers . so that might be hard to get off if cant get a puller under it.
 
You don't need the get the wiper arms off the spindle, just the one on the wiper motor itself. Scribe a line accross the centre of the motor spindle and the crank lever attached to use as a reference point. You may only need to rotate the crank by a couple of splines either way the rectify the fault.

ok . I will have a look this weekend . I have a number of jobs to do on it. the list keeps getting longer lol.
