Wing mirrors still work!

It's probably one of the first items to fail on the z3, and that's the wing mirror bases. So being as a loose end this morning I decided to see if I could get mine working, that is turning on the base, once again.

They were fairly solid, not wanting to turn at All, so I started by squirting wd40 around the base.

20 mins later, I could feel less resistance, so more wd40, a little more work, and there they are freed up. They can now easily be pushed back! Bank holiday not wasted!

That may be the only Z3 that can do that. Be very happy, but don't expect it to last. When I got mine the only thing holding the drivers' side mirror was a load of black mastic. Sorted now with one of the plastic bases off ebay.

Yes, all models have folding mirrors

Thanks for that info... I wasn’t aware that the mirrors folded in.... will check that on mine when I get home
