Window swap Vs hood swap

My (already cracked) rear window succumbed to the cold this morning and now needs replacing rather more urgently. It's a zipout one, so I could replace that, but have heard it can be a bit of a sod.

Alternatively, I have a spare good hood with a decent window.

What's the easier swap? Window or hood?

I'd say window, as I understand there's a lot more steps involved with swapping a hood. Plus, if the window replacement goes south, you still have the option of the hood. Not sure the reverse applies lol. I've definitely seen threads where people have successfully zipped in a new window.
