Window Regulator Question

The drivers side window on my 1997 Z3 wasn't working right. Took it apart and found a broken pivot clip. I replaced the clip but the track that's attached to the bottom of the window that the clip slides in doesn't stay attached to the window as it travels up and down. The 2 plastic U clips attached to the track are there but don't hold the track securely to the glass. Just looked at a picture of a window on ebay. The glued on rubber that runs along the bottom of the window is missing where the track attaches. Any ideas if this can be fixed without replacing the whole window? Thanks, Ray

Hi Ray, sorry for late reply this 5hr time difference is a nuisance. If the rubber strip from the bottom edge of the glass is missing you're not the first to have trouble with this drop glass. Silly question I know, but you're sure it's not laid right in the bottom of the door?
Short of replacing the drop glass with a second hand one from a breaker I'm not sure what you can do unless you can buy some rubber strip from Lowes or Home Depot maybe. I've bought bits from a breaker in Tampa Fla. before.

Tony.
