Do your Z3 windows rattle when closing the door?
Mine do and its annoying. I have a good idea of the issue but would love some advice. It all started when i was investigating the annoying noise i had from the drivers door when closing it. Isolated a lot of this to the metal security plate that surrounds the lock mechanism on the inside. I fixed this by drilling a small hole in it and using a cable tie i fastened it tight to a rigid part of the door, no more noise from this.
However the glass rattles when i close the door with the window down.
Looking inside the door the glass slides down a rubber guide on the left and this has perished. In fact i have to cut away the last 5 inches as it was in shreds.
On the right there is a metal runner with no rubber, i think this is normal but need someone to confirm.
When the window is up and the roof down the glass still rattles when the door is closed.
So questions if i may.
Many thanks for any guidance

- Does yours behave this way?
- Is the internal runner on the right just a metal guide (no rubber)
- Is there anything to tighten to secure the glass better?
- can i replace the rubber on the left side without replacing taking everything apart?
- Is the rubber on the left side in multiple parts or is it once piece all the way up to roof level?
Many thanks for any guidance
