Both windows are causing me problems, when you press the window switch the window will drop about2" then stop, press the switch again and the same will happen. It takes quite a few presses to get the window fully open The same happens when you put the window back up and it is the same for both windows. thy both seem free and are well lbricated.

The window switches have been changed as it is a re body but it was doing this before I changed the switches.
It feels as if the switch is tripping a safety and needs to be released and the re pressed. Anyone have any ideas?

Try spraying the rubber guides with silicone spray. If the motor senses too much resistance it will stop. Then another press will bring another short movement till resistance is felt and so on.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense.
My runners and guides are all well lubricated so I suspect they might be out of alignment causing the problem.
