Hi I haven’t been on the forum before but I have a 1997 Z3 - I’m about to have a new window put in the back - contemplated doing it myself but want it doing properly 🤣🤣
I have a leak on the passenger door and the guy doing the job suggested new window/door rubbers/seals - all I can find on places like eBay are used which I can’t see the point - BMW want the best part of £500 for a set but are currently on back order and have no idea when they’ll be in stock - can anyone suggest another supplier? Thanks in advance :)

Are the rubbers torn or damaged in any way? If not and you have wet carpet it's likely something else letting the water in.

Hi Tony - not really no but the window guy says they’re worn?
It does drip from the top of the window but difficult to see actual place it comes in - Google says there could be a gap between roof and top of A pillar - there is a small gap on drivers side that doesn’t leak but no gap on passenger side which does leak??
I’ve tried putting piece of rubber in between them but still leaks!
Was gonna try new rubbers but can’t find new ones anywhere?

A very common “leak“ is the top of the “A” pillar, also the inner door membrane behind the trim panel.

Hi
Thanks for the reply - I’ll have a go at blocking the plug before I presume having to take as ll the door card off etc?

If the door card s have been removed in its life there is a good chance they weren’t replaced and most likely not sealed to the door.
