Hi all
I’m looking for a wind deflector for my z3 roadster facelift. The space between the hole is 70cm
Anyone have one ghat needs to go to a good classic.

Hi Carl, they seem to be very rare from what I can see. I bought one off eBay hoping it would fit only to find it was the slightly more common 75cm. Luckily a mate re-engineered the pins to make it fit. :) The frame looks exactly the same just the locating pins that differ.

There is this one on eBay at the moment which is 70cm. The price has gone up from £185 to £225 so they may be open to an offer (not sure why it's gone up as it wasn't selling at the lower price?!)

Do you already have the brackets fitted in the car that the deflector slots into? If not I have some spares ones I'm looking to sell.

I thought all facelifts had roll hoops
Mine doesn't but I wish it did. I found the whole windshield thing very confusing to be honest. Two slightly different version but now idea which fitted which car... which is why I ended up buying the wrong one. Still it's modified and fitted now and worth the hassle/cost :)

Not sure about the brackets somehow thought these would be factory fitted
I understand some are factory fitted and some aren't. If you look down the holes there should be the black tube with a silver location pin slightly to one side. If you can see that you have them already.

Not to sound like a total idiot. How can I tell if mine is actually the face lift model or not. My Z seems to be very basic factory spec no hoops no fog lights.

I have a factory wind deflector with brackets, can measure pin width tomorrow eve. Looking at the picture of your zed it appears the facelift type.

Hi Carl yours is definitely the facelift model. Different wheels, bumper side reflectors on a 1.8 and slightly wider rear arches. Interior wise analogue clock ilo digital computer type.
At the prices being asked for a non roll hoop deflector better to get roll hoops and deflector for a little bit more still keeps the car standard as factory option.

Cheers Paul I’ll start looking for facelift hoops then
Hoops same parts on both face lift and non facelift. Always some about but will need all fixings and replacement trims. Normally comes complete about £280 then need to decide whether to go for a perspex deflector or the factory web type.
