Cats don't live with you, you live with a cat. IMHO.;) Now, a Dog is a totally different thing.

Please let’s not turn this thread in to a debate, it’s supposed to be about raising a bit of money to help out a cat rescue shelter. This ones simple, and it’s a thread I couldn’t honestly see ever being taken off topic.

My cat, adopted from the local shelter 3 months ago. I picked her up in the Z4 the day after I bought it. Two lovely things in my life at the same time. What a week that was. Felt like all my Christmas' had come at once. :)
Wow Z4 and a rescue furbaby all within a few days that's really cool
What's her name? Looks like she is either in mid yawn or a big roar

Apologies, shouldn't come on the forum when I've had a tipple or two. :)

I know, it was wonderful. Her name is Aurora, and yes, she is mid-yawn, pretending not to scratch the sofa ;)

How your money helps the amazing charity and fosters save many furbabies

Oscar

Bosie

Bosie came into our care along with his brother Oscar at the age of 15.
Sadly these boys hadnt been cared for in their twilight years, meaning not only were both boys full of fleas and flea dirt, but Oscar had an untreated back injury, leaving him partially paralised from the waist down. He was also doubly incontient and in a lot of pain. He has been like this for months.
Despte their age and medical conditions neither boy was allowed inside the house and had to stay in an unheated utility room, without even a bed for their old bones. Lack of care meant that Oscar has urine burns to his legs and tail as well.
We gave Oscar one last night of love and comfort before we said goodbye. He had a warm comfy bed and dreamies and cat nip and of course love for the first time in years. His foster stayed with him trough the night, until we said goodbye to him the next day.
Bosie struggled to cope being alone after 15 years but his amazing foster has been so dedicated she has helped him through. He is now a happy content old boy with a bright future ahead of him.

Moxie was found in a sealed carboard box in a local village, without so much as a note to say her name. She was traumatised, scared and had recently had kittens.

Maria was found heavily pregnant after someone had botched an abortion on her and dumped her. She likely suffered severe asphyxiation at some point during pregnancy as her babies died shortly after birth from brain damage caused by lack of oxygen. That was the last time we heard her purr.
She was withdrawn, traumatized and petrified of all humans.
With time and care from her adopters she has now forgotten her past traumas and is happily enjoying life
