Its been fun reading all the posts I'm liking the optimism of some and the grim reality of some .:thumbsup:
Just to clarify the main leak that im hoping to have stopped is the offside footwell leak last time cover was off overnight in the rain next morn containers below rear screen has about a teaspoon of water ( further repair carried out)
Roof catch leak tablespoon in container
Offside footwell 1pint of water :eek:.
Like Tony's zed my dakar sits out rain and shine and doesn't leak.
Just need to have put a stop to the major leaks ( minor dribbles i can live with)
@Sean d wells have been known to dry up you know .
Well storm Caroline due in wed night into thurs so fingers crossed.
Would like to get all the interior back in but thats not happening till leaks under control as the carpets took several weeks to get dried out the last time when i removed it all.
So i am really hoping this round of repairs will be the final one :rolleyes::nailbiting::nailbiting:
I will make my final choice when I walk home from the Swan tomorrow night Steve. It's not looking like a dry walk home though mate. Good luck.:)

Tony.

Never had wet carpets, ever.
You should be careful when you say things like that. Under the passengers feet on mine was a veritable swimming pool which I only discovered because the DSC sensors packed up and put warning lights on the facia. The top of the carpet never felt wet or even damp.

Looking at the pic with the roof down. No it won't leak left there. You may get wet though. I recommend driving very very fast. The rain will miss you

Good question tune in tonight for the answer .
I didn't get a chance to look at it this morning before work as i had to deal with the turmoil in the back garden ( after last night's wind ) and by the time I'd dealt with that had to leave.

Right the big moment..........
Slight delay in checking came home last night after work

20171207_202526.jpg
so decided wasn't feeling up to looking after a long day in the cold at work .o_O
So got up this morning :eek:
20171208_081322.jpg
So left again .
So once i got in thawed out and fed decided that would have a look if door would open as snow froze now .
Went for the passengers side lock froze but got open and in with torch .
Now it had rained during wed night into thurs then Thursday before it turned to snow so wasn't sure what i would find .
Rear trays below window zip offside dry , nearside half a teaspoonfull
Nearside footwell and floors dry
Offside front footwell small puddle on seal ( appear to have fixed to flood but have a second leak between lower a pillar seal and outer door seal where it comes round on the inside ) but footwell dry .
Center tray below roof catch dry ( or so i thought)
Tray dry but not in right place small puddle ( few tablespoons) in the space in the center cross member
Can put something on the seat to catch it rest liveable
Need to find out how its getting in to the catch area.
So on the whole I'd say all but there .:):)

@t-tony if it had been flooded i wouldn't have to had bailed it out I'd have just left the door open a couple of hours tonight and lifted out the block of ice =))

My Z3 leaked even after new roof. Cured by putting silicone on top of the A pillar.
