Left 11pm Friday night in a rental focus (lovely car), 4am ferry from Cairnryan, 9am pickup the new car, went for a drive along the coast, 4pm ferry back, 8pm home.
A long day but a pleasure in this thing!

Mmmm, nice. Are they cheaper in Ireland?
No not really, it was registered over here in the first instance but must have been moved over there at some stage.
After looking for weeks for an E220 AMG with all the extras, this E350 SE popped up with everything we (I) wanted. The compromise being an SE not an AMG. Tbh not bothered about it in the end, probably comfier on the smaller wheels with bigger tyres.
The all round air suspension on the E350 is a huge bonus mind, like riding a cloud.

That a great cockpit. Very nice and smooth drive. Excellent choice.
Yeah a lovely place to be. A proper motorway guzzler, just set the steering and cruise on and it'll follow the car infront, just have to touch the wheel every few minutes o_O Scary stuff, I cant imagine what its like in a tesla on full autopilot. The heads up display is my favourite feature though!

Lovely car , I have a w211 e320cdi which I love , my next will probably be a w212 estate again with a v6.
Those are still one of my favourite looking mercedes. A few months back I had looked at an E55 but couldn't justify the running costs haha. That definitely would of needed new tyres every 6k!
I'd rather have a w211 than a w212, keep yours a bit longer then go for a w213, the interior is a huge improvement.

Very nice, had one as an insurance courtesy car for a week or so, when mine was damaged. Took some getting used to.

Very frugal on the juice too

They then swopped it out for an SLC ;)

I agree with the HUD brilliant and very useful as it projects your current speed and goe red if you exceed the current speed limit. We have it on our 530d touring.

I’ll just park this here for you to ponder

Its been in my plans long before I got the car :ymdevil:
Only problem is mercedes. Because they're scumbags like VW and have recently cheated on their NOx levels, most diesels are in for a recall software update and all I read is negative implications. Slower, more fuel consumption, more adblue consumption and even immediate failure of NOx sensors and mercedes refusing to replace them foc. So I want to avoid it as long as possible, but any work carried out on the car will result in the update being done regardless, so It will wipe any remap.
Kate is already getting under 30mpg on her way to/from work
=))
I dont need it getting worse!

Only option may be to get the update done then do a custom rolling road remap to get the performance and mpg back
