Hi All,

Quick question, which I have looked for a definitive answer to without anything, well, definitive.

What are the panel / structural differences between the narrow and wide pre-facelift cars. Obviously the rear quarter panels and back bumper are different, what else ?

Cheers

Iain

Pretty certain the arch liners are different.

And in association the boot lid and lamp clusters between pre-facelift and facelift.

On the pre-facelift cars the front bumper has a smaller mouth on the 1.9s/narrow. The 2.8s/wide are larger and the same as on all facelifts.

This diagram may also help.

Awesome, Forgot about the arch liners :)

So if you unbolt all the unbolty bits the pre-facelift cars are identical.

Thanks Sir !!

Yes and you wouldn't be the first person to think about doing this. Though I'm not sure I've ever seen the evidence of a completed swap on here. Someone will be along in a minute to tell me otherwise!

I have wide arch liners for sale if you need these. Plus a wide rear bumper in Atlanta Blue. But no wide rear wings.

Mine is fine as it is, touch wood doesn't need any messing about with....

Otherwise I'd just hire a lorry and clear out your garden :)
