I see this type of damage on a daily basis and to be honest is one of the main sources of out retail work these days, we get the odd one or two where honesty has prevailed but mainly hit and runs.
On a side note I was poarked in Aldi last week and parked next to me was a BM, guy opens his door and hits my car, I get out and pointed out what he had done, we took a look and no damage so he went on his way, no sooner had he gone the space was taken by a very nice Merc, posh looking older woman gets out and bang, she hit the same door, I got out again and she just charged off and totally ignored me,
when Carrie got back to the car I opened her door for her from the inside, should have seen her face when she heard the bang as my passenger side door made contact, whoops, an apology would have saved the Merc driver a large bill as I didn't hold back and she was lucky my rear door didn't make contact when my daughter got in
