Hi All

I have just become the very happy owner of a Z3. I have reached the grand old age of 64 and never to my dismay owned or driven a convertible before in my life. So what made me buy this one? Two of my partner’s sons drove one of these wonderful motors to Spain on a Benidorm or bust "p*** up" Sorry charity fund raiser!!! My good lady then said shall we drive it back for them it seemed like a good few days in sun so off we went.

What a revelation back roads of Spain and France all the way up into the Pyrenees and on through Andorra. I was besotted and did not want to hand the keys back to the owner.

So after a very light hearted discussion between me and my good lady "something on the lines of are you nuts look how old you are" I took all she had to say on board thought about it and bought my own Z3 actually that should be our Z3 because I cannot get her to stop taking it when I am not looking. I cannot wait for our next trip my problem now is my other car never gets used and I love that one as well.

Welcome Andy! You say Captain, but your first post suggests who wears the Cap in your household ;)

I make all the big decisions Like Do we support the government, Should we invade another country, Should we be tougher on criminals, She make all the small decisions like where I work what I eat what clothes I should buy and where we go on holiday . So as you can tell she knows her place!

Hi Andy, welcome too from me near Lincoln, I would think a majority on here are around yours and my age group (60) but it does make affording them a bit easier. Please post up some pictures of your ride and tell us some more about it. Where are you located by the way?

Tony.
