Well there's a surprise.
even current cars with tyre pressure monitoring will have them disabled in a few years when on the second hand market as you sometimes have to change the sensors when the tyre is changed and people won't pay the extra to get them changed. Nothing is foolproof and "If it wasn't for people there would be no accidents"

apart from those in the self driving cars recently..
I was in Bush tyres yesterday and a guy got quoted £350 to have 4 valves replaced on his Astra with TPS

So, will all buyers of second-hand cars have to buy a new set of tyres? Do hope not, but the people that make laws are on a somewhat higher wage than most of us so it won't matter to them.
