So i have decided not to go for 19" so i have been trawling the internet looking at options.
The trouble is i do think the multi Y spoke wheels look best on the Z4 and because ours is a Black Z will need to be Silver

Agreed mate, 1, 2 and 4 for me (in that order). Not a fan of 3.

1 or genuine BMW 18" style 216 BBS MOTORSPORT (car a bit wider due to lower ET if you compare them with stock Z4 alloys)

Thing that puts me off the AVA is the spokes sitting right outside the barrel of the wheel. I see so many damaged wheels in this style at work and it's shame as they're reminiscent of the wheels Ant has on his car.

Its number 3 for me the others are too close to what you have already. Proud spokes at the rim only a problem if you can't park =))

Interesting... this could be the new blue/black vs gold/white debate...

I always see these wheels as U spokes; never noticed the Y's.

My question, Bill: why are you opting for wheels that look nearly identical to your (our) current set?

I do like this style but i do not want to get polished or cut rims due to the way the start pitting. We have had ours for 3 years now and they are now showing signs of pitting.
I would of gone for the Zito Belair but can only get them in either straight set up or staggered in 19"

Yep, I have to agree - I'm also disappointed with how my wheels have held up, although that's part and parcel of living by the sea.

Dare I say it... what about CSL style wheels? Similar shape but far less nooks and crannies to clean.

A guy called @andybmwwheels on Instagram has fitted loads of different style wheels to e85/e86 if you want some more inspiration. Some of the new BMW wheels look great on our older cars.

I like 3 because they are different to your current set. I agree the Y type spokes look great on the Z4 but too many people fit them and it would be nice to see something a little different. I actually think 3 would be easier to clean as well, you can get your hand in with a mitt right behind the spokes. I can't see them ever getting dirty enough anyway because you seal them and they shouldn't need more than a good blast off with a pressure washer and a wipe over.

I may of actually found a site that do the Belairs in 18" staggered. 8.5 et35 front and 9 et40 rear just need to check with them to get their impression of how the dish will look. For those who have not seen them then these are them.
