Or was your original post just a way to brag about having an e89?
No, not at all. I wouldn't consider having a dismantled 23 year old Z3 and an 8 year old E89 much to brag about TBH.
Now my other car, that's a different matter! Joking I am (it's a Mazda3)! 🤣

The E89 isn't ours yet, only put a deposit down on it yesterday. I made the mistake of selling our last E89 a few months ago. It was a peach and my wife has never forgiven me, so as it's Xmas I have bought her a replacement.....!

Our last one now lives near Lincoln and we have visiting rights, but it's not the same. A member of the zed shed and forum member looks after it for the new owner.

I have always been a fan of Topaz but since seeing the Ageing blue, I think that just has the edge. When it comes to green it's Oxford green, no contest.

Wot's this ageing blue? Sounds like a xxx movie based in an old folks home. Mavis in room 3B calls a plumber to . .

Oh! You mean "aegean" blue. Never heard of it. I had to go google it.

Now that's a nice color. Yes. The best blue is most certainly ageing blue.

Look you guys need to stop drinking during the day it's obviously topaz
Talisker :)

The term ageing blue started with a certain ageing forum menber with a very high mileage Agean blue 2.2. He has got a long way to go to catch up with me though. :)

Someone has an Aging Blue one, and I'm sure he'll say it is best. ;)=))
Mine were Boston Green and Aegean Blue respectively.
They are now Ford Frozen White and Black (RAL9005)

And green cars should be illegal they're unlucky I've owned 2 one spent most of the time in and out of the main dealers costing me a fortune and the second wrapped itself around a tree at high speed yes admittedly I was driving and late for work but it's still unlucky so we're agreed topaz blue it is.
For the last 30+years I've had green cars. I guess that explains why I've never won on the lottery.

I don't actually buy a lottery ticket but buying a ticket doesn't make a significant difference to ones chance of winning. So it's gotta be the green cars.

Personally I think the Z3 colour palete is hands down the best across the Zed range and Turkish Green is definately up there along with Orinoco @Stevo7682 ;)

As for the blues I've always liked Estoril but when they finally introduced it for the E89 the 23i and 30i variants were no longer available.

Of the blues I have had I would have to say my preference is the current Midnight Blue I have on the E86 followed by the Monaco I had on an E85, then the Montreal I had on an M44 and finally the Topaz I had on a 2.2 facelift.

As much as I love the look of the E89 I can help thinking that the brighter colours like Estoril, VO & AY just make you look like your trying to hard but I guess that's why I like the Z3 - if I see one on the road it always make me smile irrespective of colour or variant

There. Fixed that for you. ;)

Estoril has always been an 'M' colour IIRC. I am pretty sure they only offered it on the E89 as a 'run out' colour to get shot of the last of them! One thing I have noticed is all the Estoril's I have seen have got 'M' badges on the wings, so doubt it is owners sticking them on!

I don't wish to state the obvious, but not buying a ticket will definitely ensure you never win! ;)
