My battery needs replacing, doesn't hold a charge very well anymore so its time for a new one.
Now my zed is only the 1.9ltr, no air con or heated seats etc so I don't think need a massive amp battery.
Bosch seem a popular brand, but I don't want to spend that kind of money on a battery if I dont have too.

So maybe these are overkill for my Zed but

with heads up on the Euro 25% discount code @Davyhoogy posted yesterday the Exide battery come in at £73.

Personally I would go for a high CCA if you intend keeping the car for longer term.
After similar deliberations, I fitted an Exide Premium 096 to my 1.9 - 77amp/h and 760 CCA - bigger than normal requirement but you've got plenty in reserve for exceptional conditions plus 5 year guarantee.
Admittedly they cost a bit more but in reality it's only a couple of £/a over guarantee period and they usually last a lot longer than that.

EDIT - just looked back I paid £77 from Eurocarparts 2 years ago.

I replaced mine this year as I SORN over the winter and did not regularly turn her over and not use a trickle charger. My old one was a Bosch and the new one is a higher amperage. Like you I did not initially want to spend a load of cash but batteries seem to be an issue on these cars.

I weighed up the cost against getting a heavier duty one and one with 5 yrs guarantee against cheaper ones which are on the market.

I got a 80AH 76A Yuasa Silver with 5yrs from Andrew Page Ltd £110 Incl Vat. As Joe public I probably paid the premium price but I know it starts every time and the 5yrs Guarantee is also a comfort.

I would say it all comes down to how deep your pockets are!!

I hope this helps.
