Ok peeps I'm almost out of wheel cleaner so what types do you guys use and why? I want to find one that's safe to use on split rims and that will also clean my callipers at the same time if there is such a type.

Valet Pro Bilberry wheel cleaner with your wheels they probably don't get that ingrained in brake dust so I would dilute it 50/50 with water into a spray bottle .
If you need to agitate use a soft hair brush then rinse and dry.
Putting a wheel sealant on your wheels will make them easy to clean in future they probably only need shampoo after sealant.

Hot soapy water mate, at the end of the day you are washing a painted surface so no need for harsh chemicals.
That's true mate, once your down to the painted surface. Mine aren't brilliant.

I only ever clean mine with snow foam sits for 5mins and everything washes off with out any issues at all.

I use this mate. Non chemical, £9.99 for 5 litres and you then dilute so lasts forever. I spray it on with a squirty bottle and leave for 5 minutes then spray the lot with snow foam and then jet it off. Works a treat. Hell of a lot cheaper than branded 500ml bottles.
I do the same Ant,the wheels always scrub up well that way.
I did polish and wax the wheels after they were refurbed though.

My 78's could do with being refurbished. After using the last of Niall's Dragons Breath which helped to clean them up I thought I would purchase some and see how much better I can make them.
Clearly if your wheels are good snow foam would do the trick.

I only ever use warm water and AG Shampoo. The secret is getting them sealed as much as possible which i do every spring. Never have any trouble cleaning them and mine are a pitta to wash
As Tracy said Bilberry is good, not acid based and can be diluted 10:1, 5 litres around £24.
I just give mine a coat of wax, inside and out and then wash with shampoo every time I clean the car, the rim needs polishing with solvol autosol though,
Yep do the same, using the wax easier and cheaper than any wheel seal products - lasts longer too. Don't use polish as has an abrasive in it even if its a mild one.
As for cleaner if I use any - autoglym alloywheel cleaner, cant beat it for bang per buck
Another vote for Dragons breath, it stinks through!!!
