Where to put axle stands

Am sure this is a relatively simple question to answer, but I don't want to use trial and error, probably resulting in the latter.

Where is the best place to put axle stands (front and rear) on an E85?
More to the point, where not to!

The biggest problem is having a low enough jack to get under the car... When we've had a Z4 off the ground in the ZedShed we place axle stands under the jack pads where possible. The fronts are easy to place as you can put the jack under the rear pad and it lifts the whole side of the car!

There is a jacking point near the differential at the back, not the best picture by should give you an idea of location.

Think I'm still going to need some low ramps to let me get the jack far enough under the middle of the car both back and front. Think I'll be seeking some off-cuts from my woodworking mate over the road.

Some custom made wooden ramps would be useful for sure. With both my roadie and Lees Coupe lowered, we sometimes have to lift the Zeds to get the jack underneath. Reminds me I need to dig out my low profile trolley jack at some stage!

Our neighbour and all round good egg runs a business called Woodcrafts - guess what they use!
I'll see if they've got anything suitable in their skip. If he's got enough I'll liberate some for you too.

We prefer the exercise, means I can drop one session at the gym a week

I have this problem on the E46, I use the supplied wheel change jack to lift the car slightly to get a trolley jack under.

We use them regularly at work to get modern low cars onto the antiquated ramps which were installed in 1980, in the days of Escorts, Marinas and Avengers et al. Scaffold battens are very good, fairly tough wood.

We had scaffolding up around the house a few weeks ago. Should have got some then.
