In a couple of weeks, we have the baby shower for our first grand kid. We are on making cup cakes for the food. So, how do you make blue icing for cup cakes? The New Zealand butter is a little too yellow. Yellow and Blue makes green. Well, we are now on the lookout for icing whitener to over come this problem.

I'm not too upset about this situation. The more attempts it takes to get it right, means the more cup cakes I get to eat.

I should say, that green is with 6 times the recommened blue coulouring to get blue that the recipe says.

You'll all be buzzing like a fridge with all that blue =)) Trial and error is the way to go

You're right about practicing, I've gone through loads of variations on a chocolate cake over the last couple of months, got the basic recipe right (includes plain and milk chocolate chunks and a certain amount of drinking chocolate powder, with a layer of chocolate icing on top), just trying to decide on the right amount of Baileys/Grand Marnier/Causeway Coast to go in it. Takes a lot of experimenting, not enjoying that aspect of it, oh no.
