Apologies in advance - no matter how many threads i seem to read about offset, I'm still struggling to get my head around what will or won't fit.

Firstly, I have a pre-facelift 2.8, with the staggered wheels. eventually (ideally sometime in the spring/summer) I hope to change my current wheels (16" LA Stars) for Style 18's or perhaps something else if i can get my head around what will fit....

So, I get the Z3 has ET41 as standard. So when i browsing eBay, and see wheels to fit 'e36, e46, z3 & z4
(such as https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2000-BMW...=item5469b745dd:g:lscAAOSw8~dcWsPQ:rk:14:pf:0 )
How can these fit with an ET47 fitment? Is us just with spacers and long bolts, or am i missing something obvious?

(Also, I do get PCD, and all the rest of it, just offset hurts my head....!!)

They will fit without any problems, in fact other members have style 108's fitted.

They also looked great on my last Z with 20mm rear spacers and 10mm fronts

This is a good visual calculator for wheels and offset as you can input different figures and see what changes.

https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.p...2=35&wheel_size=18&wheel_width=8-5&offset2=47

Also a list of all the BMW wheels.

Those off a 3 series or Z will usually fit. Some 5 series have a smaller offset and need checking and those from an E39 5 series need a 'spigot ring' as the centre bore on these is bigger.

happy hunting

Thanks for your replies - i guess i was just wary of jumping in and ending up with something that simply wouldn't go on!

If its pretty much the case that anything from a 3 series will fit that should open up a heck of a lot of wheels, so that should keep me busy for a few months, searching...!

But... always check the dimensions before buying, as some styles fitted to the 3 series were also available for the 5 series and that uses a different set of dimensions. Also the 1 series have a similar chance of fitting as the 3 series.
