Considering wheel spacers for my 2.5 Z4 on 18's

I like the visual difference of filling the arches better but are there any performance advantages?

Also any disadvantages?

I definitely feel the car holds the road better Paul plus on a Z4 you don't have the camber issues associated with the Z3. I don't know of any disadvantages personally.

What size were you thinking of going for? I’ve contemplated putting them on but wasn’t sure what size would look the best. There’s also lots of brands with a variety of prices.

Since its a Z4 the only disadvantage is that from the rear view, it will look as though wheels are abit split legged.Probably wont have too much effect. What are your current wheel and tyre specs on the z atm?

Was looking at 20mm rear and possibly 15mm front
I have 18" staggered 8 on the front and 8.5 at the rear
Not looking at the more expensive ones (I'm from Yorkshire you know)

Hub centric ones are perfectly ok, they come with extra length bolts. I increase the wheel bolt torque by 10nm with spacers fitted.

I think it's well worth spending the bucks on.

Are you aware of the wheel offsets? From pics the offset is quite high so looks as though it could afford some width. Ive seen some z4s with some outrageous phat rear wheels and tyres on there.

Always good to do a setup comparison on willtheyfit.com. For the purposes of your setup change, a 20mm spacer is lke an effective 20mm decrease in offset. Fronts are more likely to be an issue I'd guess.

Will probably copy T-Tony's tried and tested sizes

As for locking nuts/bolts, what are they? Dont use them.

Tony.
