Open question to members who have placed, let’s say 30mm rear wheel spacers on a 3ltr.
Other than the physical appearance, dose it make a difference to the drive or cornering capabilities?
If so which ones do I purchase?

I had 20mm on the rear of my facelift Z3 Charlie, I would think 30mm. might be a tad too wide? You need to buy the "hubcentric" type to ensure a good fit onto the hubs.

I personally think they are just for looks, I have them on my Z3, if I took them off I don't think I would notice, However if I was driving on the edge on a track my opinion may differ

Yep I have 20mm on both my Z3s for looks. Not sure it makes any difference for normal road use.

Point taken.
Should I proceed 20mm it is?
Thank you kindly Sir.

One more question, presently on line in Us/Canada tracking 20mm hubcentric spacers.
Not sure what bolts to buy.
Such sites request bolt lengths?

Hi Charlie, the spacers usually come with the required longer wheel bolts.
When I fitted mine (which are currently fitted to my Z4 by the way) I increased the wheel bolt torque by 10 NM.

I've 20MM on the rear and when I moved up tyres I went an extra 10MM on the back. Handling did change, but once I dropped the tyre pressures down a little below recommended, it seemed to fix it
