Wheel locking bolts

Hi, got 8.5 ACS's on the rear with 20mm spacers. The standard BMW locking bolt thread is approx 25mm and that is the only length thread they do. I need a pair of 45mm thread locking bolts, can anyone recommend a manufacturer for that length thread? (M12 1.5)

Hello Pete! Long time no hear! When I bought my 20mm spacers they came with the correct length bolts. I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can find where I got them from, I'm sure they'd sell you a set of bolts.

I've got the 20mm spacer on the back and the longer bolts, but none of the longer bolts are locking ones, I'd therefore like one for each rear wheel. Will give that company a ring Tony. Hi Pete, if all else fails put a stud the correct length in with loc tight and use a reg M12 wheel lock! How've you been? JIM

The company in the U.S. Definitely sell security bolts Pete have a look in their shop. I could get you some brought back maybe in the next 2 weeks.

Try looking up McGard wheel locking products, usually available on eBay - http://www.mcgard.com/index.php/automotive-2/wheel-locks

Strange that people who sell spacers including staggered set up don't offer a set of security bolts. You would think that there would be a market for them?

Thanks Tony will definately check that company out and thanks for the offer. Gaz, McGard locks seem to come up on a regular basis, so I'll take a look at them. Just annoying because like you I only need two for the rears, but yeah I agree bung two on each wheel, or as I have been told a couple of times now, use all four but get the front boys cut down. Keeps everything standard which suites me! David's question above is something I too thought about....interesting?

Mine is on 20mm hub centrics with extended bolts. I touque them regularly just to be sure but to be fair they have never moved at all.

@DavidM I would have to believe that the extended bolts would be safer as they'll give 20mm more length of thread contact whereas the regulars would be 20mm too short and would quickly fall out if they weren't torqued down regularly! JIM

No Pete, almost all the leaves have blown off but today and yesterday are absolutely gorgeous with sun shine and +10c temps but supposed to rain tomorrow and snow Thursday. I just need your black wheels Pete to go with the grills. Had to replace them after some arse backed into the car while I was in the bank for 5 min just 7 days after the car finally arrived here so decided to go for the blackout look! JIM
