Wheel fitting query

Front is a 8.5j et 38 18
Rear is a 9.5j et33 18

They are 3mm further out than yours @Grumpy lower the number further they stick out.
Wasn't sure they would fit but they do !
Oh right. God I struggle to get my head round all these j's and et's etc. The short is I just hope mine fit when we lower it!

Well we will find out soon enough mate. :nailbiting:

Morning. The rears were the same as the fronts. ET 38's. Anyway I fitted a front and back last night to see how it looked and they fit OK. The rears look like they stick out a little but nothing's rubbing anywhere which is good.

Sorry - I meant the tyre size 225x40x18 etc. I'm particularly interested in the wall of the tyre. Is there a slight stretch on your tyres?

Mines the same size and there is on my fronts. Ant told me to change brand when I change them to get ones with a wider wall on them.

I run the standard.
225/40/18
255/35/18
I looked in to this a lot before getting these rims i had a previous 18 that was 8j but by design actually stuck out further than these do.
The rim width 8j etc is measured bead seat to bead seat on the rim so an 8.5j rim is actually around 9"
Offset is important but tyre design and the thickness of the rim lip makes a difference to how they look and fit.

Am I right in saying your 255x35x18 are on the front?
