looks like it could well be the power steering.That is one of the PS pipes.
They are the normal leaks, is it red in colour?

Right Mark I have had a look on real oem

Power steering diagram not detailed enough
Neither is the Air conditioning one

I had a look at my much smaller powered z3
And the only thing I have there is the power steering pipes.
Also had a look in the engine side what what I can see no external oil cooler ( plus the oil leak you said is reddish)
Engine oil range from golden brown to black
Air con lubricating oul is usually clear or green.

My monies still on the power steering does the ps diagram above help you see any as to where the pipe goes to at each end.
