What thermostat?

Hi, I'm flushing and replacing the antifreeze in my 6 pot 2.0ltr Z3. I'm going to replace the stat too. What temp one should I use. Looks like quite a range, but read that these engines have an ECU controlled stat. Any help appriciated

IMHO, if you live in a cold climate you should use the factory-recommended Tstat as a starting point, I live in the desert so I run a little cooler 180-190F for city driving in the summer.

I just use the OEM thermostat, I replaced it as a precaution at bout 100,000 miles and never had any problems from freezing UK winters to 35 deg plus in Italy. Now on 162,000'
