Is your viscous fan working correctly? if the bimetal spring is missing or the oil seals have gone it wont adjust the spin speed with heat increase.
When I parked this morning, I hopped out with the engine on, and the fan was spinning away. It didn't seem like it was spinning that fast. Being honest, it just felt like it was blowing hot air around the place, more so like a heater (not sure if that is normal?)

Edit: I ran the self test 06, and the display says C4 (which I assume is my fuel tank being 3/4 full) and then it says 31 (which went up to 34 sitting in the car after a few minutes with the engine off, which is the temperature of 102c? It's now at 3E which is 92c?).

The hotter the car gets the faster the fan will spin, as it locks up with heat, if the car gets hot and the fan speed dose not increase the viscous is not working correctly

Is the best way to check this is see what speed it spins at when cold? Then try and compare when hot?

Checked after my drive this morning, (the needle went passed the 12pm mark in traffic) and test 06 said temp of 22 which is 120c/248F? Is this normal operating temperature? I just want to make sure Im not cooking the insides!

I tried releasing air from the rad yesterday. Got 2 large enough bubbles i think. However, the coolant kept rising and came out the top again with the lid off. Is this normal?

Sorry for all the questions by the way. My knowledge of cars is much more weighted to 70s/80s minis, which are a little different! :D
