Phoenix Alloys, in Bristol, charge was £460.
However bear in mind that if I had gone for a standard colour it would have been £400.
It's a lot, I agree particularly, as there are other things that the money should have been spent on !!
The photo's are defo not the best as they really don't show how grim the original finish was (front R had a slow puncture down to rim corrosion) and they don't really show how nice they are now. ''Shadow Chrome''
Most wouldn't do split rims and the only one that offered the service, other than phoenix, put the price up considerably once I queried the quote, ie pointed out the photo's I had sent were of split rims.
Price sounds about right. I'm torn between getting mine refurbished or getting another set of easier to clean wheels.

They are apparently quite sought after, and therefore not cheap, but lots of people don't want the extra aggravation of split rims.
If I am being honest I would not have been on my wish list but as they were original to the vehicle I couldn't bring myself to put anything else on.
I'm pleased I had them done. Best not 'kerb 'em' then eh ?

I love them but they are a pig to clean. I'm thinking of style 68 wheels as they also are available staggered. Probably just get mine refurbished if I can find someone local who will do them.

I would have thought Luton, as the automobile capital of the UK, would be a doddle to find a powder coat specialist

Finally found and purchased a good used left rear tail light assy…the original one on the car is badly crazed and would likely fail a WOF (our version of MOT).
By contrast, the right tail light is in great nick, so may have been replaced at some stage.
Was thinking of upgrading to clear indicator lights but no used ones are available here, and certainly can’t justify the expense of new ones.

Bought a pair of tail light bulbs after noticing one was out last night. Thought I would just check the left rear boot well for damp, and sure enough, it’s still getting water in from somewhere. Ended up taking the rear light clusters out to check for leaks there. Used double sided tape to reattach the rubber weatherstrip on one side that had come loose. Cleaned up the areas you don’t normally see.
