Defo Triumph Spitfire 1500 engine great car with the overdrive. My dad had a few when I was younger. Wish He had them now. Good investment car. Brings back some fond memories.

I bought my first Spitfire in 1966. and had one until about 2000, in that time I got to know the quite well, 1147cc, 1296cc and 1500.

I bought a 66 Spit many years ago to rebuild. I got the chassis all done and bought new body panels from the local BLMC dealer. My late father-in-law gave me a full race engine from his F2 stock car and all I needed to do was get the body done. Then came wedding bells. Car was sold to go towards buying the land we live on today. I will try to find some old pictures of my treasures if I can.

Tony have you checked to see if the old car is still out there?

No Kyle I haven't, simply because I know the guy who bought it from me and he was the original owner of the full race F2 engine.
It would not have ended nicely.
