I have bought a multi-function steering wheel for my Z4, mainly for the audio control switches, I miss them from my Touareg. However as my car left the factory without this I have no info on what the switches on the right side do or what they're for.

The left hand side - audio up/down and mute?

Meanwhile on the right hand side -

A copy of your manual page would be great or just some description please.

Thank you,

Tony.

I really don't know Brian. I wondered if they were an extension of the Cruise Control setting ?

Seriously tho just for once, if I was to hazard a guess I'd say the left is stereo controls and the right cruise?

I think you could be right, I'm sure about the LH ones, really that's why I wanted the MF wheel, it's just the RH ones which remain a mystery mate.

It's for the integrated phone system, but you get the buttons even if you don't have it fitted.
OK, cheers Gaz. So if I was to get the required parts I could retro fit that too going on what I've read. Appreciate the info mate.

Aren't you getting a redone wheel from Royal? Can you just swap over what you need then? JIM
My original wheel didn't have the multi function switches Jim, that's why I bought one and am having it rebuilt by Royal's before fitting it.

Left hand side is voice control / command
Cheers Tim, that's what I most wanted if I'm honest. I hate having to lean across to adjust the volume.

The R/T button should be a switch between radio and cd.
Cheers for that Ant, I'll try it tomorrow. Gives me a reason to go to work.=))
