I parked my daily diesel today with the wheels turned and caught sight of some damage to the inner edge of the tyre. I swapped it on to the spare (which is a bloody space saver) as this is clearly dangerous.
I had no inclination there were any issues and the wear on the tread seems even, yet the inner tyre wall is shredded.
I inspected everything in the arch whilst the wheel was off and there’s no evidence of the tyre rubbing on anything there as I’d expect to see a polished or at least clean area where contact was made.
So my question is...what the hell has happened to the tyre?
