What arm rest

I need an arm rest, its my wifes biggest gripe about the Z, What do I need guys, been looking around and its a bit confusing so not sure what to get, cheers

So guys, If I buy the SB one will it go straight in or do I need the oem cup holder, just that I read that somewhere

I used the type which requires the OEM cup holder Sean. These are still available from BMW as far as I know. Was about £50.

Hi Sean...I've just posted off 3 armrests yesterday to 3 members here... Same style as Antm above. You don't need the OEM cup holder with that style. If you want the one with the OEM cup holder, you will need to get one from BMW or off eBay. Prbably cheaper from BMW as most of the eBay jobs are from USA or not very good condition. If you're interested let me know.

Pretty good looking ! But why is the elbow rest pad back of the seat bolster ? It appears it needs to be moved forward at least half it's length to be properly functional...although that wouldn't allow the hand brake to be applied I suppose... But surely could be moved forward at least somewhat to avoid using the cup holder as the elbow resting point and have use of the padded sections ??
I take it you don't make use of the switch facility at the back end of the console or can the unit hinge up to allow access there?

it actually sits nice on the arm , i don't have any switches under the arm rest, just blanks ( manual roof ) but yes it hinges up i now have it carpet lined inside
