As my car had a battery issue (sorted now) my son popped round in his 3ltr Z3 so went out for a quick drive in that. (That was lucky)
You really can tell the difference in power between mine 2.2 and his the 3 had some fun.
I was torn between buying his and selling mine when he puts it up for sale, but I do like the colour of mine more.
As a rough guide with 60k on the clock, sport version, aircon, heated seats, trip computer, side airbags, what do you recon its worth, I said put it up for £5k

I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to put a value on your sons car but I 100% agree with you on the colour of yours, it would take something very special to get me to swap that.

For what it's worth I think you made the right choice.

I would have thought that would have been about the mark. Perhaps £5250 and take £4750 rather than £5000 and take £4500. I assume a good service history.
