Hey there,
not sure if this is a design flaw or just something wrong with the individual cars themselves but both of my Z3's suffer from a problem with large amounts of condensation building up on the inside of the boot lids during periods of cold weather. Is this something others have experienced also? Its so bad at the moment that I find myself wiping down the inside of the boot every morning to keep the condensation from dripping all over the contents of the boot once I take off.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You may have standing water in the boot where you cant see it. Remove the left hand side panel (next to the left hand rear light easy to do) stick your hand down into the deep corner of the recess and see if there's a puddle of water in there its the lowest point and you cant see it(maybe leaking through the Arial grommet) could explain it. Hope I'm wrong though.

Probably your 3rd brake light seal or it could be the rubber grommet at the base of your aerial.

If you have water in the boot it will collect in the battery Box, examine it closely, if necessary disconnect the battery and take it out. Make sure you have the radio code and switch off everything in the car before you do though. I found on my first zed 3, water entering the boot made the back firewall wet, but could never find exactly where it came in.

@TaffZee had this and it turned out to be the rear seal of his soft top and he replaced the seal himself but said it was a bi*** of a job.

I've had this too.

I got all the carpets out (I mean sides panels and the part that up against the 'wall'). This way you can see easily where the leak is.

If you are getting condensation you will have a leak somewhere as the water sat in the bottom of your boot will be condensing due to temperature changes.

That amount of water indicates a major leak, not just condensation, remove carpet and check the fire wall for signs of water staining.

You probably have water standing behind the left rear wheel arch, maybe a little in the battery box.the leak is your 3rd brake light seal it's easy to fix but must be installed correct or it won't work .it lets water in like a tap

The wetness in the boot seems all left-hand side. The aerial seal on top the wheel arch seems sound so must be the secondary into the boot?
