I was on the West Country Section of the BMW Car Club web site and discovered that the Cornish contingent are somewhat more active that the Devon group and that they have an event on the Sunday 14th July, just two weeks before the Zedfest (unfortunately). The event is at the Royal Cornwall Showground. It is a show type event and they hope to have some 600 plus entires. It does look like a good event and I thought it could be one for us to all get together again. I have spoken to James Brewer who is co-ordinating the BMW Car Club entrants (we do not have to be members I have cleared that with James) all being together and as such he would like any of us that is thinking of making the event to give him a ring or an email so that he can make sure we are all together as a Group. I have suggested that maybe the Zed¹s together within the larger BMW group might be a good idea.​

There is a facility to camp overnight for £7 per night per Tent (provided I have read it right) for those that might like to be there the night before (I am thinking of It) . There are probably reasonably priced hotels or bed and breakfast that might have space but on this occasion I will leave that to individuals to arrange.​

Entry is free for the driver and one passenger. Extra Adults are £6 each, and Children under 12 go free​

I think it is a cheap enough event to book it up and if the weather is rubbish I will not lose much if I pull out I have it confirmed with James.​

Ah but we did get a couple from your neck of the wood (actually well the other side of Norwhich) for the Westcountry Cruise. You just heard that the cars all get dirty down here with cow sh** and don't want to spend the two weeks between this event and Silverstone cleaning the crap off the car. By the way they won the prize for the furthest which if I remember right was 378 miles each way or something like that. They also went to the AGM in Llandrindod Wells as well. They like their Z4 but they are not very good on the forum front so get stuff from the magazine so if I get a chance at silverstone I will try and get some one from EAC to take their email so that when you guys are planning something you might email them I know they would join in. They were good fun in March.
