New tyre needed. Even though it still had some air in it the tyre wall was damaged after the 25 mile run home last night. :(
Fortunately they have one in stock. A bit of a result I suppose.

That's a shame.
So it looks if you drive any distance on a runflat it is scrap. I only drove mine from home to the tyre bay 1 mile and could repair.

A midget for instance would look ridiculous as it runs 13" wheels as standard so there is no comparison really

Thats about it. What was surprising was this morning, despite having 0psi, it looked quite ok - probably no more than 8-10mm difference in height. Theres very little difference between OK and completely flat, so, any distance while flat clearly ruins the exterior wall strengthening that supports the tyre.
A real nuisance for sure, but, the tyre did its job and got the car home. Exactly what its designed to do, so can't complain too much (except at whoever dropped the nail! :mad:).
