Yesterday i bought a Holts Headlight restoration kit from Euro Car Parts just up the road from me. I have polished my lights before with Toothpaste containing bicarbanate of soda and Meguiars PlastX. Both worked but I wanted to polish them a bit more and the kit comes with a drill attachment which makes polishing a lot easier. Anyway I masked around the lower side of the light and lifted the bonnet so it was out of the way of the top of the light. I only used the final polishing compound as the light was pretty good to start with and I am happy with the result. Unfortunately while I was in the zone with the drill I hadn't noticed I was covering the nice and clean engine bay with splattering's from the polishing mop. 45 minutes latter I finished cleaning the engine bay again :whistle::whistle:Lesson learnt.
