Castrol Magnatec is on offer there at the moment 5W30 at 17.50 for 4 litres, its also this price on Euro Car Parts. I brought 2 tubs, don't know if its any good but at that price and with mine being desperate for an oil change it will do for several thousand miles if its no good.

I use Quantum Platinum 5W40 full synthetic made for VW by Castrol.I use it on both our Vw cars one petrol, one PD diesel and the Zed.I stocked up with a few when it was on ebay at £80 for 4x5 litres delivered.I think that it can gone up a bit since then, but it's available from all VAG outlets for around £25 for 5 litres.
