Finally fitted new aftermarket stereo today. Easy job when you get the correct ISO adapter tip.. If you're buying from ebay then check the product number on Amazon.

The sound is incredible even through the standard speakers, I read that they were better than the stock head unit but it really took me by surprise how much better it is.

Took advice from another forum member on what to buy. Blaupunkt Toronto 440,, really nice understated OEM look to it. Very pleased.

Certainly looks well, I have a Sony bluetooth but no idea how to stream music, still trying to find out how to load the 8 track cartridge

Thanks Adrian... Haha yeah they can be a bit complicated. Few buttons but they all have multi function. Ahhh the 8 track, once at the cutting edge of audio pleasure

My blaupunkt was new but didn't come with a manual, had to download online. The issue @Steve Medlock was having was the seemingly awkward connection of Android devices. Hope this can be overcome easily enough as my old iPhone is steadily (Thanks to the criminals at Apple) grinding to a halt so will move to Android.

Apple are not always poor on service.
Recently I was booking my granddaughters iPhone in to go and get a new screen fitted after it was dropped onto a stone floor.
After making the booking I was asked if we had other troubles , so explained my wife's iPhone 6 did not hold life in battery as it should , she checked the number and said it can be a faulty battery , call in and have new battery for £25 fitted.
Arrived at Apple shop in Trafford Park, technician pointed out the case was swollen as the battery had expanded,so phone was scrap, suggested we had a replacement (new) iPhone 6 ,same £25 as the battery cost,and they set it up and transferred all contents over. They could not have been better.

Yes, I think their after care on devices is pretty good but I was referring to the people in the higher echelons of the company who got paid a large salary to slow down older phones in order to manipulate an upgrade.

Can you imagine the same thing being done to a car or a washing machine or any other labour saving device? There would be hell to pay.. Meanwhile apple struggle to pay their taxes.

Lovely quality devices though and my iPhone 4 still feels and looks good but it's just deathly slow now, shame because I like to use stuff if it still works, but apple or Google maps.? Forget it. It is time to upgrade but I'm afraid Apple have restricted me one time too many...Huawei (wah wai) here we come!
