They don't, though. They ARE the used car market in one form or another, so can do whatever they like. While the British public are stupid enough to sell cars to them they will keep getting stronger and stronger.

I have a WBAC portakabin just around the corner in Sainsbury's car park. Most evenings they load their 'purchases' for the day onto transport lorries. I have been shocked recently by some of the cars people are selling to them. Two and three year old expensive (or were until WBAC step in) cars, not just knackered old tat. People must be losing fortunes selling to them.

The price of convenience!

Yep, that's their business model. Seems to work for them.
If you want to turn a car into cash quickly that's the price you pay.
Don't see a problem with that. :)

In June my Ford garage told me WBAC etc would give more for my Fiesta than they would- I checked and it was true. It was a strange time with supply and demand of the model. I didnt change cars but when I re looked this month my Fiesta had dropped about 4k in 6 months. Though it was back to the normal/expected price.
