Bought some of this of Amazon after reading reports lately of rust on the Z4 doors
Idea is to coat the inner doors thought it came in an aerosol so question,
can you brush it on as i dont have an air line or gun.

It is OK brushed on, just easier to get in all the crevices if you spray. A messy job either way.

Don't see why not.
Are you sure its an aerosol .
Looks like a tin designed to be used with an air operated shoots gun so you can spray into tight spaces if so no reason why you can't pour some into a container and brush on.

As steve says looks as if that can is supposed to fix to a sprayer, but you can pour into a container and brush on. it is messy stuff so put something under the door drain holes to catch the drips. It takes a while for the solvents to evaporate and the it leaves a waxy/sticky coating on the surface which repells water. Make sure all the drain holes are clear before you start and don't wear anything half decent as you will ruin anything.

You can buy in aerosol cans

Definitely not an aerosol, seemed like a good idea at the time may be a job for Zed shed when we get up and going again?

We had the Z and Dmax done professionally a couple of years ago and they a great job. They Have ramps outdoors for steam cleaning and spraying applied it warm The only minor complaint now has been a note on the MoT to say they can not inspect parts of car

The aerosols are the best option for gettinging into tight places and a lot cleaner than the tin and gun.

Bought it off Amazon, wasn't expensive so will probably have a go with a brush if not happy will buy aerosol. No problem with car just preventative so may leave as a winter job for the list

I used some Bilt Hamber Dynax S50 when doing the inside of the sills on the Z3. It's an aerosol and comes with a tube that you can get into small holes. The tube end has a cap with slots cut out so it sprays at all different angles, you can also wiggle it about to give plenty of coverage. Would be easy to get good coverage inside the door with it and save the waxoil for something a little easier to reach. Cost about £20 a can, I managed to coat both sills with 1 so you may only need one for both doors.
