For many this is going to be a Granny and Eggs post

Those of you that know me well know I hate polishing cars, its a chore and I derive zero pleasure from it. For those that don't know I have recently purchased a Z4 e89 (yes yes I know) and its black :facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:
This car has been used as a daily driver by the previous owner for much of its life and 50k miles and the paint work is well, in need of some tlc, in fact it needs a few days with a professional detailer, and it will get that next spring, so in the meantime I decided to do the bare minimum and polish it. :banghead:

After a bit of reading up I decided to use Poorboys products, and the recommendation was for Black Hole Show Glaze, followed by Natty's Paste Carnuba Special Edition Black Wax. The Black hole is supposed to eliminate the majority of swirls, well I've heard that before

So off I went, washed, dried, glazed and waxed. Now the real star of this show is the Glaze, its quite amazing, I would say 60% of the swirls are hidden. Its a very easy on / off product and produces a shine I would expect from a polish / wax, to say I'm impressed is an understatement. I followed that up with the wax and the car (by comparison of before I started) is just gleaming with a mirrored wet look.
You can get this stuff for dark, medium and light paint work.

Looks spot on Niall
Mine needs a good rub down and I'm wondering when I'm going to find the time to do it.

I never thought I’d see the day!!!! The planets must have aligned or something!!!!=))
That looks great...and much more effective than using the morning dew as a quick detailer!

Only problem with autoglym is it's a resin polish and highlights swirls

I think he's worried and has been considering the old spitfire pilots that used to polish the hell out of the planes to get a few extra MPH... The modified Zedshed HQ Specials are putting a nervous twitch in his mind.

PS They are closer in the rear view mirror than they appear... Lees behind you.... :ymdevil:

Ha ha lets see how long they last before they start blowing engines and diffs. Chase all they want I'll wave to them while they are sat in the lay-by steaming away waiting for the nice man in the yellow van :whistle:=))=))=))
