I've got a different unit down there. Anyway grommet will be on it's way and hopefully sort it out the water ingress to this area. The tilt sensor is marked on this picture and the pocket i refer to is the one its sat in this often is found full of water.

I believe the first part in black will be that controller you said as it got some vacuum hoses. But then I have got a grey unit at the far bottom and that one was flooded half way.The other unit if it is black is the vacuum controller for the exhaust flap in the tail pipe.
Grey unit is the tilt sensor probably inop now if wet and it is missing a bracket that bolts to the side of the well. The alarm should still work but no tilt function. £100+ from BMW ,mines gone as well.I believe the first part in black will be that controller you said as it got some vacuum hoses. Is working fine as the water level didn't reach the plugs and the united is sealed all around. The bracket is there and you can see it attached on the first picture. Was quite lucky to find the water there to be fair.Grey unit is the tilt sensor probably inop now if wet and it is missing a bracket that bolts to the side of the well. That kind explains it self ahaha. Now with a boot being empty for more than a month it does require a bit more of investigation ahhaMrs littlefeller had moisture on her boot lid recently (non zed) so i investigated, turned out she was keeping her windscreen frost sheet (silver foily thingy) in the boot, stowed straight from the windscreen still covered in frost![]()
You're right I just seen today and even though I paid 9 ish from my local dealer is cheaper than non OEM ones. Can't really understand the price up on some items lol. Some one on ebay is charging £12 for the aerial grommets, when I replaced mine from BMW a couple of years ago I'm sure I paid around £3
ahah who knows. You have to price both, we see this with car parts at work all the time. We used to sometimes ask the old boss for a particular part and he would say " Where am I going to get that from?" Try the dealer!
Tony.
At least you know you're getting quality Rui! Hope you get the leak stopped mate.ahah who knows.
I go straight to the dealer most of the times anyway.
Thanks
