I bought one of these for my brother's 1.9 and it's been on for 2 years. That said it doesn't do many miles. £45! Yes that's all.

It's a bit noisy but in a sporty rather than unpleasant way. It should be an hour's labour to fit so £50 if you're lucky depending on where you go. My local garage is £70.

On a 1.9 maybe not although possibly a stainless steel one.

But the 6 cylinder exhausts are painfully expensive and go on for ever. So secondhand is reasonable there.

I doubt you'll only get a stainless back box second hand. Full system wouldn't be to hard to find or a standard back box.
