Hi all!

I was recommended to join the forum by Steven Mac on the Z3 facebook group.

Having now thoroughly left my modified fiesta era, I'm now looking for a Z3 as a little sunny Sundays project car and a cars and coffee companion!

Hopefully I'll be a fully fledged member soon! 🤞

(p.s. Looking for a pre-facelift ideally located in Scoland or NE. Budget of around 3.5k but can push a bit more for the right car. Not scared of high milage within reason. Fully aware of the common sill/arches issues and not expecting showroom condition but ideally nothing excessive. Happy with all engine sizes and have a particular soft spot for Atlanta blue)

Welcome to the site. Steven Mac on Facebook but Scooblitz on here.

Tagged you in a for sale thread for a black 2.8i.

She needs a little work to get back to former glory but is below budget.

I debated buying this myself as it is a 99 model with more modern upgrades. It has AC, roll hoops, heated sport seats and other goodies which aren't so common on the prefacelift cars.

There is a rusty panel, but I might be able to help with that. The split seat... I might be able to help with that too.

Thanks so much for the tag! really appreciate it. Can totally see the potential in it, however it's just a bit too far to travel once the costs of repairs are included in too I think. Seriously considering taking the campervan to Wales for a week for a holiday .. and a scour of marketplace while I'm there!! Seems to be so much more activity far south than up here.

There's only 5m of us in Scotland. Its slim pickings. I bought mine in Cambridge. Flew down to Stanstead and drove it home. Was kinda fun and exciting.

There are a few Z3s for sale in Scotland at the moment. There's even a Grey 3.0i but it's facelift.

The prefacelift cars are a little harder to find but patience is key.

Buying a forum owned car could be the way to go and worth travelling for. You can also employ someone to drive it for you Scotland for reasonable fees or have it put on the back of a flatbed.

Forum members on here are an honest bunch and you can be reasonably confident you are getting a good car.

I'll keep my eyes peeled.

If you are in Giffnock, you might see me zooming around in my black 2.8i with hard top.

This was from our Scottish Tour 2023 with 14 other Z3s from the forum. 2 months later I crashed her into a wall at 70mph on the m80 in torrential rain. Happier times.
