WAIT! (Radio)

So picked up my Z3M and the dealer said to me I’ve entered the code for the radio, done it a few times and then realised it was the wrong number! So now just the wait message shows.

The book says leave an hour and then you can re-enter the code again, well I drove the car down the M1 for at least two hour but it still reads WAIT. So book says leave key turned to first position with radio on with wait sign showing. After an hour it should be ok to enter code again. Nope it isn’t!

So I thought I’ll just disconnect the battery and let the computer chip go cold in the radio
reconnect battery and job done? Reconnected this morning and no it’s still reading WAIT!

Any other ideas guys? Because other than replace the radio I’m out of ideas!

I’m sure if you take your car vin number to the dealers, they should be able to give you the code. You have to take ID and the V5 form.
Maybe someone can confirm it?

I do have the correct code I just can’t get the radio to allow me to input it!
It’s stuck on WAIT!

Yes that’s what the book says, tried that and it didn’t work yesterday.
However after writing this post I have tried it again this morning but this time waited two hours and it has now cleared. I entered the correct code and all is working fine now, even the 6 slot cd changer which I don’t have in my 1.9. Z3.
