I have a Dynamat door kit and a shower curtain (both brand new). I am going to cut the curtain as a vapor barrier.

I just wanted a confirmation before I use the adhesives.

Should I install the Vapor Barrier using GE Silicone II Window & Door Caulk first and then adhesive the Dynamat to the Vapor Barrier afterward? or should I use the Dynamat first and then Silicone the barrier after it.

Thoughts?

Doesn't the dynamat fit directly onto the outer door skin?

The vapour barrier is directly behind the door card as here and originally fixed with butyl sealant but I used black silicone to repair mine.

Mine is missing the original black piece / insulation you have pictured.

I think the face lift zeds have the thin foam barrier but earlier cars have a plastic membrane so no reason not to use the shower curtain. As you can see from the pics where to membrane is attached.
